    Group International Director

    Andrew is a South African. Having graduated in Economics and Management from Stellenbosch, he relocated to the UK in 1990 where he started and sold several businesses. He returned to South Africa in 2010 for the education of his two children, and now spends his time between Portugal and South Africa.

    He has dual British and South African nationality, while his wife also holds Swiss nationality.

    He is a serial entrepreneur and networker, enjoys getting start-up businesses up-and-running, and thrives when there is a crisis to solve. He is an international laser sailor.

  • Gary Kockott
    Chief Operating Officer

    Gary was schooled at Grey High School in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, after which he completed a BCom degree at the University of Port Elizabeth.

    He sold his business in 2002 and headed to London, where he joined Sable International in 2004, managing numerous facets of the business including tax, immigration and commercial. Gary joined the board as a director in 2004.

    He is an avid mountain biker, plays tennis and squash in his spare time and enjoys watching all sports.

    Investment Migration Manager

    Sarah was born and raised in the UK and graduated from the University of the West of England in International Business. After several travel and hospitality-related roles in the UK, South America, Botswana and Cape Town, she joined Sable International in 2019.

    She has British nationality and permanent residency in South Africa.

    She has a deep understanding of the various citizenship-by-investment programmes offered by governments around the world, enabling clients to get a second passport or enhanced international mobility.

  • Richard Haller
    Managing Director: Offshore Real-Estate & Investment Migration

    Richard grew up in Cape Town and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. Like many South Africans at that time, he then moved to London and spent four years working at Goldman Sachs Investment Bank.

    In 2004, Richard returned to Cape Town and joined the Pam Golding Property Group’s international division, where he moved through the ranks from finance to operations and then the Director of their Mauritius Operation. Richard and his family moved to Mauritius in 2017, where he headed up the group's Mauritius operation on the Island, with a specialised focus on successfully launching new real-estate developments to the Southern African and EU market.

    Richard has an extreme passion for real estate and the investment migration industry, which focuses on residency- and citizenship-by-investment programmes that allow individuals and families alike the freedom of global movement.

    In his free time, Richard enjoys travelling, a session of surfskiing, a round of golf, or a walk up the mountain with his family.

    Richard holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Stellenbosch and a diploma in Real Estate Development from Cape Town Technical University.

    Saskia is a South African, having graduated from UCT with a BSc in International Finance. Having joined Sable International’s tax team in 2011, she moved into the Foreign Exchange team in 2014. She and her husband relocated to the UK in 2012 to head up our UK forex business.

    She holds three nationalities – South African, Australian and British.

    In 2023, she was promoted to Director within the Business Immigration team, assisting UK businesses with obtaining work permits for their international employees. Following that she and her family relocated back to South Africa.

    She specialises in creative solutions for individuals to obtain business visas into the UK.

    Originally from South Africa, Brent pursued his higher education at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, where he successfully earned his MA in Marketing. During his time in the UK, he gained valuable professional experience by working for some of the top universities in the country. After a rewarding five-year period in the UK, Brent returned to South Africa and established his Study Abroad business.

    With dual British and South African nationality, Brent possesses a unique perspective and a diverse cultural background. His expertise in marketing and business is evident through his proactive approach – over the past 18 months, he has opened multiple offices across Africa. Brent is not one to remain complacent; he is always ready to make crucial phone calls, board a plane, and negotiate cross-border deals.

James Barnett
Managing Director – Sable Wealth

James is a South African, having graduated from UNISA with a BCom and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He relocated to the UK in 2000. After relocating back to South Africa with his wife in 2007, he joined Grant Thornton (Corporate Finance) as a partner.

He has dual South African and British nationality.

In 2013, he bought out a share of Grant Thornton’s wealth advisory business and merged it with an existing Wealth Management business in South Africa.

James has strong corporate finance, M&A and advisory knowledge. Having acted as an MD and advisor in wealth business, he is ideally placed to advise clients on their corporate shareholdings and wealth portfolio.
