  • Alan Robbins
    Accounting Director

    Alan went to school, studied and completed his articles in Cape Town, after which he started work as an audit manager. His next move was across to the UK in 2003, where he joined Quotient Financial - later part of Sable International - and worked as a client accountant for just under two years. He then worked as an internal auditor for Interserve PLC, a FTSE-listed facilities management and construction company.

    With a view to returning to Cape Town, he re-joined the Quotient team in June 2007 in the role of client manager. In August 2009, he relocated to the Cape Town office to manage the accounting team based there.

    Alan enjoys most outdoor activities as well as any opportunity to travel.

  • Scott Brown
    Director: SME and Accounting

    Scott majored in Accounting and Business Administration at Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and working for five years within business services and taxation, he headed to London and joined 1st Contact.

    In 2010, following the merger with a number of smaller accountancy practices to form Sable International's accounting team, he became Managing Director of Accounting, heading a team of accountants and assistants specialising in SMEs and contractors.

    Scott is also interested in travel, music, fine dining and wine.

  • Nadia du Toit
    Payroll Administrator

    Nadia lived in Bellville and attended Excelsior Primary and DF Malan High School before furthering her studies at the University of the Free State. She excelled in sport, representing Western Province in decathlon, netball and action netball. She was also part of the SA action netball and Free State netball teams, and the u21 SA action netball squad that went to the World Cup.

    She worked at ProPayH as a Payroll Assistant for five years before joining Sable International in the SME department as a Payroll Administrator.

    She enjoys being a mom to the cutest little boy, spending time with family and friends and going for a stroll along the beach.

  • Charissa Cameron
    Payroll Administrator

    Charissa lived in Muizenberg and went to Muizenberg Junior as well as Muizenberg High School before furthering her studies at Cape Technikon. After graduation she moved to the UK on an Ancestry visa, where she lived and worked for 10 years before returning to South Africa.

    She joined Sable International as a Payroll Consultant in the Umbrella Payroll department and later moved to the Contractor Accounts department. She now works in the SME department as a Payroll Administrator.

    She enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends and exploring the various hiking trails that Cape Town has to offer.

  • Laylaa Baker
    Client Accountant

    Laylaa's passion for finance began at primary school and continued through high school and college. Her first job as Junior Client Accountant was at Quotient Financial Solutions, where her skills and capabilities were put to the test. 

    Her role at Sable International is to assist her clients with anything they require regarding their finances and taxes. She is passionate about what she does and always aims to give her best. 

    In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, experiencing new things and baking. 

     

  • Almaas Amien
    Tax Administrator

    Almaas started her career at Sable International in 2009 as a Tax Refunds Processor, then worked her way to the Contractor Accounting Department as a Compliance Administrator and now a Tax Administrator in the Sable International SA Tax department, where she assists client with their SARS Efiling, tax clearances and tax emigration process and other admin-related assistance they may need in SA Tax.

    In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with and taking walks with her family.

  • Savannah Johnston
    Manager of UK Contractor Accounting & SA Tax

    After graduating from Stellenbosch University, Savannah jumped on the first plane out and spent the next year travelling Australia, eventually settling down in London.

    After arriving in London, she joined the Sable International accounting team in a client accountant position, managing both corporate and individual accounts. She was based in the London offices until early 2019, when she transferred to the Cape Town offices, and has continued to service her UK-based clients from there.

    Since her move to the Cape Town office, she has worked closely with the SA Tax and Wealth divisions, on more complex cases. This mostly involves assisting individuals with tax planning when moving to or from the United Kingdom.

    More recently, she has been appointed as the manager of the UK contractor accounting & SA tax team.

    Outside of work, she loves to travel, especially to off-grid destinations. She also enjoys horse riding, nature walks and sitting around a fire with great company and a good glass of wine.

  • Zaakeerah Williams
    Junior Tax Assistant

    Zaakeerah has completed a Professional Executive & Personal Assistant certificate with Concept Interactive Institute as well as a Personal Income tax certificate with the Tax Faculty. She’s spent the majority of her career building her knowledge and skills in tax emigration and SARS tax administration, working for various accounting firms.

    Outside of work she loves spending time with family and being outdoors.

  • Jenna Williams
    Accounts Assistant

    Jenna is a born and raised Captonian. She started her Bachelor of Commerce in Law at Varsity College in 2018 and completed her degree in 2020.

    She then started work at a boutique law firm in Blouberg Sands, where she worked for the past year and a half. She found herself enjoying the clients’ financials more than the law aspect of the work, and has now moved over to Sable International as an Accounts Assistant.

    She is an easy going and open individual. She enjoys many creative hobbies and outlets. In summer, you will find her walking on the beach or making the best of the weather outdoors, but in winter you’ll find her reading books or binging a series and avoiding the cold like a plague.

  • Mallory Vincent
    Junior Accountant

    Prior to starting at Sable International, Mallory worked at Capitec Bank for five years.

    She began her time at Sable International as a Billing Administrator in the Contractor Accounting Team. She then worked her way to an Assistant Accountant and is now a Junior Accountant, managing both company and individual accounts.

    In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.

  • Reginay Combrinck
    Accounts Assistant

    Reginay was born in Stellenbosch and later finished her secondary education there, before going on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce, specialising in Management and Industrial Psychology, at the University of the Western Cape.

    Prior to Sable International, she worked at DigiOutsource as an Australian Customer Service host and at Capital Growth as a Team Leader.

    She is the first point of contact for contractor clients and assists the accountants with obtaining information from clients, updating workbooks and profiles, scheduling in consultations, and compliance duties.

    In her free time, she enjoys writing plays, organising concerts, karaoke, dancing, reading a good book, being in nature, spending time with friends and family, and imitating her cat.

  • Yushra Maart
    Tax Administrator

    Yushra started her career at Sable International in 2018 as a compliance administrator in the Contractor Accounting Team, then worked her way to an Accounts Assistant and now a Tax Administrator in the Sable International SA Tax department, where she assists clients with their SARS Income Tax and E-filing registrations, tax clearances and tax emigration process, along with other admin-related assistance they may need.

    In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.

  • Bernelee Kahn
    Tax Administrator

    Bernelee was born and raised in Durban before relocating to Cape Town. Her career began in 2015 when she started working for a private financial company called Charles Merrington Executive Financial Services. She obtained her NQF level 4 and 5 while working for them and is currently in the process of completing her BCom degree majoring in taxation. She has spent the last eight years being a Tax Administrator for CMEFS, and now will be holding the same position at Sable International.

    Outside of work, Bernelee enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys going to the beach as it is her escape from all the noise. Another passion of hers is cooking and creating new dishes.

  • Dhiran Morar
    Client Accountant

    Dhiran attended the University of the Western Cape and completed his BCOM Degree (Finance) in 2012.

    He started his career at a property company in Cape Town, which he worked at for eight years, gaining experience in creditors, cashbook, debtors and accounting.

    Dhiran joined the Sable Accounting team on 1 June 2020. He is a problem solver, has an incomparable personality and enjoys spreading joy by bringing doughnuts and treats to share with his colleagues.

    In his spare time, he likes outdoor activities, braaiing and spending time with friends and family.

  • Kim Reid
    Accounts Assistant

    Kim was born in Cape Town and raised in Walvis Bay, Namibia where she attended high school. She went on to further her studies in Financial Management at False Bay College and completed her practical with Meredith Harington Chartered Accountants prior to joining Sable International as an Accounts Assistant.

    She has a proven track record of leadership skills being an SRC Chairman, MOT SA Leader, Prefect and Head Cheerleader. She came second in the Drum Majorettes World Championships (Trompoppies) and was crowned Miss Teen in 2008.

    In her spare time, she runs Queen Squad, a car club for women in Cape Town. They have charity events, car shows, social gatherings and more.

  • Kylie Jansen
    Client Liaison

    Kylie is a fun, outgoing individual who started her career in finance after she completed her National Diploma in Public Management in 2019.

    She then found a love for Accounting and worked for a really well-known accounting institution for four years, where she learnt to hone her skills in customer service, accounting ledgers and data accuracy.

    More recently, she has been appointed as the Client Liaison of the Tax SA Department.

    In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with family and friends and being outdoors. 

  • Lyne Fraser
    Tax Assistant

    Lyne had always been a ‘numbers girl’ and has always worked in the financial sector. Prior to joining Sable International she was employed at SARS for 17 years, where she gained invaluable tax knowledge, training and studies. Her current position at Sable International is that of Tax Assistant, which includes educating clients about their tax position. She wishes to further her studies within taxation.

    When not working, Lyne enjoys being out with friends and family. She loves soaking up the sun at the beach with her daughter and going for nature walks.

  • Carol Shrosbree
    Payroll Manager

    Originally from Johannesburg, Carol moved to Cape Town to work at the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

    She then moved to the UK on a Working Holiday Visa and ended up staying 12 years in the country working as Payroll Manager in the recruitment industry. When she returned to Cape Town, Carol joined Sable International as Payroll Team Leader for the Umbrella Payroll department, after which she was promoted to Payroll Manager for the SME Accounting division.

    Carol enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, travelling and long walks on the beach.

  • William Louw
    Director: South African tax

    William started his career by studying towards a Chartered Accountant degree through Unisa. Since then he has worked in firms around South Africa and Namibia as a Professional Accountant.

    He has led teams across several companies including 1st Contact’s South African tax division and started his own firm in 2011.

    In 2019, William merged his company with Sable International to form our South African tax division. His goal has always been to help clients get the maximum benefit from their tax situation.

    He is an avid croquet player and has frequently represented the country.
