Leeds Becket University offers South African students three scholarships that cater to exceptional achievers in academics, sports and the arts.

As one of the best institutions in the world to study sports-related subjects and hospitality, Leeds Beckett University makes an excellent choice for like-minded students from South Africa.

This makes the Carnegie Sports Scholarship perfect for those with outstanding talent in cricket, soccer, rugby and tennis. The International Student Scholarship is an option for high academic achievers, and the Arts International Scholarship gives creatives the financial means to pursue their passions.

Carnegie Sports Scholarship

This scholarship recognises international sporting excellence, allowing qualifying candidates to represent Leeds Beckett University in British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) events.

Successful applicants will receive a £6,000 annual scholarship. Postgraduate recipients will receive a 50% discount on postgraduate-taught fees.

To be eligible, you need to meet the minimum playing level for the following sporting codes:

  • American Football
  • Athletics
  • Cricket
  • Soccer
  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Tennis

International Student Scholarship

Leeds Beckett University values its international students and offers those from South Africa the opportunity to study under an International Student Scholarship.

No application is necessary. If you are a full-time, self-funded student paying to study an eligible course for the first time, the discount will be automatically deducted from your fee liability.

Leeds School of Arts International Scholarship

The Leeds School of Arts Scholarships are awarded to eligible students based on exceptional academic performance and design experience that may be showcased through an interview or design portfolio.

This 50% scholarship is available for multiple design and arts courses, including performing arts, choreographic practice and architecture.

Like the International Student Scholarship, no application is necessary, and discounts will be automatically deducted from qualifying students' fee requirements
