We’re looking for the equivalent of an Agency Account Manager or Agency Account Director for our in-house marketing team in our Cape Town office.
We’re looking for a Marketing Client Service Lead who is a self-starter and is used to working in a very fast-paced, high-performance environment managing multiple senior Clients at the same time. We do the marketing for a range of exciting in-house businesses ranging from financial services to sports recruitment to studying abroad, and more.
You will be working in close collaboration with our Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager and an energetic, in-house Marketing team. The ideal candidate must have experience managing omni-channel campaigns including email, Google search and display, social media, landing pages, print, etc.
Please note this is an on-site position in our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town.
You’re perfect for this position if you:
- have a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or a related field.
- have at least eight years of experience in account management at an ad agency, preferably handling direct response lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns.
- are highly organised, communicative and client-centric with a passion for advertising and a proven track record of managing senior client relationships.
- feel comfortable with marketing strategy and can brainstorm with copywriters and designers
- have meticulous campaign management skills
- have a thorough understanding of best practice principles across multiple marketing channels. i.e. email marketing, social media marketing, Google, print, etc – especially when it comes to lead generation
- are adept at compiling campaign reports and be able to aggregate results provided by our various channel specialists into a report for the client and draw insights
Your role and responsibilities
Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:
- Client service management: The Marketing Client Service Lead will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with our internal clients and ensuring the successful execution of advertising campaigns.
- Campaign management: Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of marketing campaigns, ensuring projects are on time, within budget and meeting agreed-upon objectives. Develop project timelines and keep the clients updated regularly with the progress of work.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between our clients and the internal marketing team facilitating clear and consistent communication throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Problem solving: Proactively identify and resolve client issues and challenges, escalating concerns as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with creative, media, strategy and production teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.

Tallulah started as a junior social media strategist in 2014. In 2020 she started assisting the content team, using her journalism background. In 2022 she was promoted to content and traffic lead, before taking on the role of Marketing Manager in February 2023. She now manages a team of 11 creative individuals across content, SEO, PPC, design, social media and front end development.
