University of Reading master's scholarships

The University of Reading offers an extensive range of scholarships to master’s students. In the 2023/24 academic year, the University of Reading will have more master’s scholarships available than in any previous year. This reflects their desire to attract the brightest talent and further grow their thriving postgraduate student community.

The University of Reading’s Master’s Scholarships Scheme offers two funding opportunities:

Centenary scholarships — To mark the upcoming 100th anniversary of their Royal Charter, the University of Reading is offering 100 scholarships that all master’s students are eligible to apply for. These awards have been allocated to particular countries with 10 available to students from other countries.

Subject scholarships — These awards are provided by most of the schools at the University of Reading and are course-specific.

For the 2023/24 academic year, the University of Reading is offering 125 Centenary scholarships of £4000 for international students. There are also a number of subject scholarships available of £4000 for international students for specific courses.

To be considered for these scholarships, students can submit a scholarship application after they have received their offer from the University of Reading.

Students can submit their application before they have paid their deposit to the University (if a deposit is required), and they only need to submit one application even if they're applying for both scholarships.

The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction and is applied for each year of study. Recipients must be classified as an international student by the university for fee purposes.
