International College Dundee is a stepping stone to starting your university career at the University of Dundee. Here are the scholarships for the January 2023 intake.
International College Dundee (ICD) in Scotland offers you an alternative way to begin your undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the University of Dundee. You will learn core subject knowledge while being supported in the development of academic English and university level study skills. With experienced teachers and small class sizes, you will receive first-class teaching as well as the individual guidance needed to adjust to your new life as a UK university student.
ICD is currently offering scholarships for the January 2023 intake of up to 50% for the Mechanical Engineering programme and for Computing.
Students have two options when undertaking their International Incorporated Bachelor’s at ICD, depending on the course they want to study.
International Stage One (IS1)
The IS1 is the equivalent of the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. ICD delivers the first stage and once completed you will continue onto year two of your chosen degree with the University of Dundee.
International Stage Two (IS2)
The IS2 is the equivalent of the second year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. ICD delivers the first stage and once completed you will continue onto year three of your chosen degree with the University of Dundee. The continuation routes available cover a range of disciplines in the University of Dundee’s School of Business and School of Science and Engineering.
Scholarships on offer
Business – IS1
ICD offers an exciting alternative start to joining the University of Dundee School of Business. By studying Business at ICD, you gain an excellent grounding in the basics of business – which could eventually lead to a dream career. For Business there are both two-term and three term IS1 options available depending on your English language level.
Fast track scholarship for business – £4000
Computing – IS1
An undergraduate degree in Computing will provide you with the understanding and ability to design and develop all types of software. This includes the fundamentals of computer science, the principles of programming and algorithms. Computing offers access to a range of future career opportunities such as Software development, Systems Analysis and Information Management.
For Computing there are both two-term and three-term IS1 options available depending on your English language level.
Fast track scholarship for Computing – £4000
There is a 50% scholarship available for Computing IS2
Mechanical Engineering – IS2
Mechanical engineering combines a range of technical, creative, and management skills. It plays an important role in a range of sectors including aerospace, energy management, and surgical innovation. The ICD IS2 in Mechanical Engineering is the first stage of your integrated BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering with Renewables degree course.
The International College Dundee programme has been approved by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as a pathway to the BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering with Renewables at the University of Dundee. This will enable students to gain accreditation status upon successful completion of their Honours degree.
There is a 50% scholarship available for this course.
The cost of the fast-track programmes is £12,995 for two terms (January – July), therefore with the scholarship students pay just below £9,000.
